Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Savannah is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. They are closed for renovation, which I truly hope is only temporary. The food is excellent and the owners and servers are lovely kind people. We need Indian food that is not in Pooler! I do not have a palate for spicy food but love their Chicken Tikka and of course all the add ons, the breads, the sauces, the vegetables. They will accommodate your spice tolerance..

I recently visited Pakwan in Savannah, GA, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The restaurant had an unpleasant odor, the restrooms were poorly maintained, and the service was slow and unfriendly. I also felt that the owner ( white hair)came across as rude and unwelcoming, which made the dining experience even less enjoyable. Overall, the food and service did not meet my expectations, and the restaurant did not appear to be well-maintained. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very delicious! My son has ROV Competition in this City every year, we will absolutely come back. And the server Vigi is very nice.

So, we ship up in Savannah on our way to Myrtle beach - a random way station on a long road trip. Incredibly, barely a minute’s walk from our lodgings, is Pakwan Indian Cuisine, dappled - as we tentatively scope it out - by the shadows of the westering but still warm Georgian sun. We’re British and haven’t had a curry for a week, so we conclude this is our manna from heaven. As are their recipes, as things turn out. I order my favourite South Indian Garlic chilli chicken (a litmus test in my experience), my wife her go-to Chicken Saag. They are perfect: my dish is both powerful and piquant yet mercifully tempered by the gentle mercies of just the right soupΓ§on of brown sugar. My wife’s is… Well, maybe fifteen years ago we went to the Bombay Palace in Beverly Hills and we’ve never forgotten the perfection of their Chicken Saag (and I don’t even like it, usually): it became our benchmark comparison. Suffice to say the Pakwan offering is at least it’s equal, maybe it’s better. All this is orchestrated by Vijaya, a wise, clever and cultured woman (currently working on her second Master’s degree) with whom we discussed - amongst other things - the persistence of energy and its implica

The food was Absolutely amazing. I always like to try Indian food and this place is now in my top 5 favorite Indian spots. Everything was juicy all together! SHAWN was super nice too, he engaged with me and recommend their mango smoothie which was sooooooo good and refreshing. It had a little kick of ginger and I love ginger. This experience was amazing, I will be coming back again and again. PLUS their portion is so much that can last you 3 days, no joke. 11/10 -Marry
